About

Nicole (she/they)

I came to this work the long way around: through my own experiences with family complexity, loss, identity, and the kind of quiet exhaustion that builds up when you've spent years taking care of everyone but yourself. I know what it's like to be the strong one. I also know what it costs.

I'm currently completing my Master's in Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, one of the most unique and challenging things I've ever done. CIIS has pushed me to grow in ways I didn't expect, and that growth shows up in the room with my clients.

I believe therapy works best when it feels genuinely human - not clinical, not performative, just two people getting curious together about what's actually going on. I bring warmth, honesty, and a lot of heart to this work, and I take the trust my clients place in me seriously.

Approach/ philosophy

There isn't one way to be human, and there isn't one way to do this work.

People come to therapy carrying all kinds of things, some of it clear, some of it harder to name. You don't need to have it figured out before we begin. You just need to be willing to get a little curious.

In our work together, we slow down. We pay attention to what you're feeling, what your body might be holding, and the patterns that have made total sense given everything you've been through, even the ones that aren't serving you anymore. I don't see people as broken. I see people who learned to survive, and who are ready to ask what comes next.

My approach draws from Hakomi, parts work (IFS), gestalt, and attachment-based therapy. I'm especially drawn to working with people who feel deeply, think a lot, and are ready to stop abandoning themselves.
